Shooting Schedule and location permission

Shooting schedule

This is our shooting schedule. From this we can use the table to go to the locations that we are shooting at and that we know when we are going to be shooting. Also from this we are able to decide where we are going to meet so that we can go as a team to the location. It also tells us what actor is going to be needed on that day so that there are no problems that are going to happen. The table shows us the date/time, shot numbers, location, actors, props\costume, crew, equipment and notes.

This is a form that as a group that we have made which will give us permission to use the locations that we need to use.

Casting and character discription.

This is a prezi showing the what the main character Aidan is going to wear when he is at school and when he is left his home and going out to meet someone but then returns home because of what he has heard. when he is at school it shows that he is in smart but casual clothes and when he get home and gets changed he is dressed in Goth clothes as this is the type of person he wants to be.

 FOREST WALK

          Aidan walking through the forest as in the background he
          walks past 2 men who are discussing a very important and
          dodgy happening

                    "What are we doing here? its all
                    wet and disgusting!"

                              STEVE ROMAN
                    "You don't wanna get found out do
                    you! Now listen.... 'He' is in my
                    house, he needs to be buried....
                    Alive to make our point."

                              DAVE WILCOX
                    "Wait! .... do you think that kid
                    has heard us?"

                              STEVE ROMAN
                    "No, nobody will listen to him
                    anyway, he's one of the mental
                    ones."

          RADIO SWITCHING ON

          Aidan walks up to the radio and switches it on, and on it is
          a radio broadcast of the news about a major person who has
          been abducted by unknown hooligans and they need any
          information that could help.

                              RADIO NEWS BROADCASTER
                    "...(manche)ster News, Breaking
                    news this afternoon we have just
                    heard reports from the police that
                    prince harry has been abducted by 2
                    renegaded anti-royalist campaigners
                    who are believed to be wealthy
                    members of the community.
                    if anybody has any information at
                    all on the matter go see your local
                    police chief. In oth(er news)...."
                   


This is a rough copy of what the actors are going to say. This is the only bit of speech that is said during the opening sequence from what they are going to say we want it to make the audience think and ask question. The questions that they might ask might be what will that plan be and what did they do to create the bodies, did they kill them or did they witness the death. also we have the section from the radio where the main character realises what the men were talking about.

Character costume

This shows us what costume that the main character will be wearing when he is at school he will be wearing smart clothing such as chinos and a T-shirt this shows the audience that he is at school and that he might take his education seriously and want to learn. The second part of the main characters costume is Gothic style clothing. This shows the audience that the main character has two types of personalities this can show that because he gets changed he is trying to hide his true self from everyone else.

props list.

Props and Costumes

Here we have a list of the props and the costumes that we are going to be using. This just explains what the prop is, where it will be used and where we will be getting it from.

The head phones are going to used at the section of the sequence where the main character Aidan is walking home from school and he is going to be listening to music as he is walking home by himself. We will be getting the head phones from me as i have black head phones which suit the personality of him which is that he is a Goth.

This is the pound coin that is going to be used at the end of the sequence where Aidan has just got home and he is thinking about what the men in suits have said and when the coin stops spinning that's when he realises what they were talking about. Where we shall be getting this coin from is a wallet which we will have on the day.

This is going to be the exercise book that Aidan is going to be using at the start. He will be doodling in his book at the end of the lesson and when the bell goes the book will get closed and the title of the film will appear. We will be getting this from the English department as they are the only ones who do blue A4 books with lines.

Animatic

This is our animatic. We have used the animatic so that we can have a rough idea on what our opening sequence may look when we film it. The reason that we have chosen to use the animatic is so that the sequence should look identically similar to it. For our titles we have got together as a group to choose what they should be, firstly we have chosen to call our production company “spine chiller Production”. We have chosen to do this because our genre is a thriller and we wanted a company which sounded like they helped out with thriller films, the font that we used for this is a spray paint effect and also that a stencil has been used. We have chosen the font to be like this because it creates the effect of mystery and secrecy as it look like font used on secret documents. For this type of font we have used for all other title to create the same mood. The next main title is the name of the film and the font that we have used for this has the look of scribbles inside the lettering, we chose this as we wanted this to portray the main character as if he knows something and just can’t get it out of his head so he mentally scribbles out the thing that he has on his mind.


Ways that our animatic could be improved could be by at the start of the sequence we are going to have ambient sound as he is in the end of his lesson and we are going to have people talking and then the school bell is going to go and then he will walk out of his class and get barged by the bully. Ways that we could do this by recording a section of the end of the lesson when the bell goes and put that over what we want at the start. Also another improvement that we could change could be the music for our sequence. This is because the music sounds and suits that action adventure genre as it is up beat and quick paced, we need music that is slow but intense which can relate to our genre a thriller.

 In the first five shots the character is going to be in a lesson and doodling in his work book not paying any attention to what is going and when the bell goes he closes his book, leaves his class and a bully barges him as he walks past. he then gets home and we see the character getting in his Goth clothes and make up on and then walk down the stairs. from this story board we will know what we are going to be doing and where the camera is going to placed. an example of this is going to be in the first shot where the camera is going to be above him looking over his shoulder looking at what he is doing.

 

In these shots we see the character just leaving his house walk along his path and taking a path through a forest and then he comes across two men but pays no attention to them. at this point we do not see the boys face as we are hiding his identity but we do see the faces of the two men. we do this so that we can suggest the identity of some of the characters already. 

In these last shots the character has gone past the two men and he hears them talking about something bad, and he goes home with these words that he has heard going around in his head and he starts flipping and playing with a coin and when he drops the penny he figures out what they are going on about. this makes the audience think what is he going to about what he has heard and is it going to be something he is going to tackle alone or with a team.

Sound

This is the first clip of sound that we chose as a group and from this, listening to the clip while it is playing with the animatic we have decided that this sound does not go with the opening sequence. So as a group we have decided to change the sound to the one below.



As a group we decided to come to an agreement on this sound clip for our opening sequence. We have chosen this because we wanted a clip that sounds fast paced to have a certain effect on the audience. We wanted the effect on the audience to be on the edge of their seats and going to have to wonder what is going to happen in the whole of the film. Also we wanted the sound to be fasted paced as we are going to make the opening sequence fast paced so that it would make the audience keep watching the film and not loose interest.
